Sadie is number 4 Labradoodle to join the family. She is a F1B Labradoodle from Blazing Star Kennel in Manitoba. Sadie’s path here as a lifelong member of the family wasn’t smooth. After many battles and health issues she is happy healthy and loved here. Sadie unfortunately came down with a kidney issue that was not in part to breeding or anything inherited. It is not known if it was trauma, a reaction to food or medicine or what exactly caused the issues. For more on Sadie’s journey. Sadie is a medium Black fleece coated Labradoodle. She is the goofiest girl here and loves nothing but a good game of tossing the toy around, for herself!

Darby was born on August 21, 2002 at Rutland Manor to Ebony and Cadet. Ironically she and Greta do have the same mom. Darby is a small medium Chocolate Fleece coat. Currently she is 58 pounds (all muscle) and 18 inches tall. Darby is one of the silliest girls ever. It takes a little while for her to warm up but once she knows your OK, she is a pal. Darby also passed her Canine Good Citizen and will join in on the Therapy Dog. She surprised everyone and has become and agility dog. She has a hidden speed and accuracy that is needed to excel in agility. I know she really likes it, and will continue to participate. Darby’s favorite treat is a frosty paw, or just about anything cold. You can be sure to hear a faint “squeak” from a toy, she loves to play!

Born
December 12, 2001 to Zephyr and Heart Throb (a.k.a.
Huggie). She is appropriately named, and is a
cuddler extraordinaire! She is a little
girl under a lot of fluff, weighing only 34 pounds
and measuring 22 inches. Lovey is most happy
when there is a ball in her mouth, or running in the
yard. She just started agility, and is showing
promise. She also passed her Canine Good
Citizen and will also try for Therapy Dog
certification. Lovey is sneaky, as she likes
to lick out whatever is left in the sink! She
prefers to be with you, and cuddle or hug on you all
the time. She is my foot warmer.

O’Malley joined our family late last summer. Born in Oregon he came to Big River Labradoodles as the main man for the job! He fit in nicely right away. O’Malley was given the name Koda, however due to the honorary family member, Cuda, the confusion set in and O’Malley was fitting for him. O’Malley is a gentle bear with a big heart. Loved by everyone he meets and impresses them with his maturity and mellow attitude. Most are surprised when they find out he isn’t an “old” dog. O’Malley can be found carrying a toy around, never to destroy of course, or near Emily cuddling and taking care of his girl!
